The Tigrett Band is under the direction of Mr. Curtis Choate Curtis Choate's Home Page There are presently 75 members in the Tigrett Band which is made up of 7th and 8th grade students. The students practice each day during school and occassionally after school.

Every other spring we take a trip with the band members. This is a great way to say thank you to the kids for the years of dedication and hard work that they have demonstrated. The spring trip is usually to St. Louis, MO. While in St. Louis we visit Six Flags Theme Park and enjoy a day at the park. Hopefully, the kids will remember this trip for many years to come.

We are very grateful for the support we continually receive from our administrators, fellow teachers, and from the Jackson-Madison County School System and from the citizens of Jackson and Madison County. We are especially grateful to the parents of these fine young men and women. They are the ones who faithfully transport them to and from band functions and also are the ones who have shown enough faith in this program to purchase an instrument for their child. Without their continued support none of this would be possible. Thank you all for your help!
